How to Eat What You Want & Get Healthy
This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.
Have you ever heard of the term “skinny fat”? You know, when your weight is healthy but your overall health is poor? I know a lot of women who describe themselves as “skinny fat”. I used to be one of them. Then, I discovered the severe consequences that being “skinny fat” could lead to. When I was 18 year old, my mom died and it was the most devastating experience of my life. My mom and I were very close and I was completely shocked when she suddenly passed away from a heart attack.
My mom was a petite woman who weighed less than 110 lbs. Before my mother’s heart attack, I honestly didn’t think heart disease was an illness that affected relatively thin people, but it is a lifestyle disease that can plague anyone. Lifestyle diseases are illnesses that are associated with the way a person lives their life; diet, alcohol/drug use, exercise, and sleep habits. In addition to heart disease, other common lifestyle diseases are obesity, type 2 diabetes, and strokes.
Losing the most important person to a lifestyle disease was a wake up call for me. I knew that I could not continue on eating junk and not taking care of my body. I also have stomach/digestion issues that I’ve been struggling to resolve.
So, I decided to change my lifestyle.
In recent years, I’ve been taking better care of myself, but I sometimes get confused and overwhelmed with all of the commentary on what we should or shouldn’t eat and when we should or shouldn’t eat. I’d been looking for a way to simplify my lifestyle, in terms of what I eat, so I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands on a copy of Always Eat After 7pm: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my experience of the book and the healthy eating tips that I learn!

Always Eat After 7pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to get healthy and “lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening.” This may seem crazy or like just another diet gimmick, but this is the real deal! The book is all about being strategic about when you eat so that you can improve your health all while eating the foods you love.
In a nutshell, the Always Eat After 7pm plan is a 14-day Acceleration Phase that helps you get started on the program with a boost of momentum for quick results. The Main Phase teaches you the exact foods that you need to eat in order to achieve your goals of having a healthy body. The Lifestyle Phase teaches you how to maintain a healthy weight for good!
The first chapter alone is full of health myths that most of us have believed to be conventional wisdom our entire lives, such as, eating at night will lead to weight gain. But this isn’t just another health book based on fads or trends. Nope! That doesn’t work on me. I’m all about data, science, and proof.
Not only does the book list common misconceptions about health and weight, but the claims are supported by research from doctors and scientists all over the world. After reading the data, I WAS HOOKED. I could not put this book down!
Healthy digestion is something that I’ve struggled to attain for a long time. As someone who has dealt with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, for years, I thought that eating late at night prevented healthy digestion. While reading this book, I learned that optimal digestion requires comfort and relaxation. We’re more relaxed when we sleep than at any other time of the day. I’m eager to see how my sleep will be affected by adopting the Always Eat After 7pm plan.
I also thought eating at night had negative effects on a person’s weight, but what stood out to me about late eating and weight loss was this: “Late-night eating also curbs calorie intake the next day. In a four-week study, dieters added a snack to their daily regimen 90 minutes after dinner every night, and check this out: late-night eaters ate an average of 397 fewer calories per day.”
I’m a huge foodie and I have a major sweet tooth! I’ve always steered clear of “diets” and health programs because they are usually really restrictive; no carbs, no sugar, no fruits, no dairy, and the list goes on…
Seriously, no carbs? No thanks!
Many people on restrictive programs fail to get healthy time and time again because restrictive dieting is not sustainable. The best part about the Always Eat After 7pm plan is that you can eat all the things you love. Nothing is off limits!
Always Eat After 7pm is an enjoyable and sustainable way to achieve a healthy weight. It is a revolutionary rule-breaking diet that lets you enjoy huge dinners, desserts, and indulgent snacks while still burning fat overnight created by Joel Marion and is now available to purchase.
What other health programs allow you to do that?
This book has already taught me so much about health and wellness. I’ll be updating you with my progress next week, so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out this video on the science behind this health program. Then, join me on this journey to a healthier body and happier life.
